I consider myself proud to be a countryman of Barbados

Barbados is 166sq miles of beach and recreation. In fact you can cycle around it in a day

It boasts a stable economy based primarily on Sugar/ Molasses and off shore banking..oh yes, and tourism.
The thing that annoys me the most are the people who get off the cruise ships and forget that they are in a different country, with its own laws and standards of behaviour. To those people I say “respect my country as I would respect yours.”

If you are staying in a hotel, try not to spend all your time eating and drinking within the confines of the hotel estate. Get out and explore the country you will discover that what you are being told is traditional cuisine in the restaurant, is in fact, nothing like the food we really eat.

So get out there and enjoy yourself but remember, “respect the locals and they will respect you.”
